I was debating i should ressurect my ask away thread or not but then i thought why not you only live once... :P

I see they finally unblocked you... did you ever get to the bottom of it btw?
I'll kick off with a question all but three of four of us would find boring - I assume from your av that you're using Fedora. Why Fedora? And what other distros have you tried? </geek>

I've tried ubuntu, mepis, DSL, and slax. The reason I use fedora is because it's I am used to plus I am studying for the RHCE. Although if I really wanna be an RHCE perhaps I should find out what the hell happened with lonqueror and intensity.

Ever tried *BSD? A bit different to Linux - I find the differences frustrating, but keep giving it a go when I get sick of distro-whoring - and its fun playing under the hood. I usually go for Debian and its satellite distros - I'm using Mepis again at the moment, which now has an Ubuntu [dapper] core instead of Debian testing - seems a little more stable now.
PCLinuxOS is worth a try - it can run as a live CD, originally was a fork from Mandrake but unusually uses apt-get as a package management tool with rpms... nice well integrated little distro for desktop use, check it out.

i was referring to dunc's comment, about "taking" flo. i just wondered if you would consider taking him anywhere, without a lead. i wouldn't. or without a muzzle. in fact, particularly the muzzle.

As far as IT goes, no:
Career services keep forcing and sending me on positions for help desk (despite the fact that know about my AS)which is something I don't want.That is why I am pursueing certifiication particular theRHCE (https://www.redhat.com/training/rhce/courses/). The RHCE is a performance bassed linux certification that is highly respected in the field, unlike the the trivia question based MCSE. I believe linux is the way to go because their seems an oversaturation of MCSEs out there that don;t have jobs, plus having the cert with my associates to back me up should serve me good. Even if their are no linux jobs in my area I was trained very well in the area of windows (MCSE like training plus my linux knowledge can supplement for any windows type knowlesge needed as a system administrator(which is what i want to be). I don;t apprecaite my school trtying to pigeon hole me and making me settle for less than what i want and deserve, I refuse to settle I'll do what it takes to get me to where I want no matter how long it takes me.

nah. i actually agree that there's a time and a place to be an aspie/act as though one isn't, if one can do so, of course. means to an end, and all that. well, i did, but then i didn't know i wasn't supposed to, so as to speak.

Unfortunately I don;t have much say so over the forum anymore nor do I care to. However I am still a chan op in the chatroom. Since all of us ops hate alex, and since he does nothing to help us out (sometimes he even causes more problems by his very nature) we kind of do our own thing. It's to my understanding that Quirkycarla is still banned from the forums however I still see her in chat even if Alex is in their. If you're interested what i can do for you is talk to the chan ops about lettiing you into the chat, chances are they'll probably let you but i can't garauntee it.
