Title: Who can step up for Democrats now?
Post by: Al Swearegen on March 01, 2017, 07:21:04 AM
Bernie got his arse kicked by Cruz and his policies were shown for what they were unrealistic and idealistic. RIP Bernie.
Pelosi and Waters clowned themselves.
Ellison is a radical.
Warren has thoroughly embarrassed herself.

There is no solid leader. Perez looks weak and Schumer is whiny.

Where do you see strength and solidness in the Democratic Party and who would you like to see step up?

I am thinking Corey Booker looks stable and solid. Tammy Duckworth to an extent too.

The Democrats are a friggin' joke. They're kind of like the carrot-on-a-stick for us poor liberals who just want our government to do things that all of the other first-world countries do; like universal healthcare, better pubic transportation, more taxes for the wealthy, less loopholes for big corporations, clean air, clean water, but I guess that's just a pipe dream now.

Warren embarrassed?

Nope, I don't think so.

Actually I think there would be quite a few that would support her.

She made the mistake of being a liberal in a "liberal" party, I guess. :orly:

Edit: Oh and Republicans say things that should be embarrassing all the time.

Bernie's problem is that he is too old.

"Too old".  Amazing how identitarians are fine with 'ageism'.  Problem with Bernard is that he's a fraud.  He's voted the same as Hillary 93% of the time and basically always votes the same as the majority of Democrats.  Another problem is that the working class in the US think he's too far left, hence why he lost to Hillary.  I know she cheated but if Bernard was any good it wouldn't have even been close.

The problem with you, on the other hand, is that you're thick as a brick.

At least you wear your bias on your sleeve. Or in this case, your avatar.

Funny thing is, if all of the tears US conservatives cried during Obama's presidency, increasing gun and environmental regulations, Mexican immigration, Black Lives Matter and Womens' March protests, Roe v. Wade, that Sandra Fluke birth control thing, etc. became rain, it would relieve the entire world of its drought overnight for the next 30 years.  :orly:

Obama played golf for a reported 306 or 333 times during his 8 yr term. Which averages out to less than 4 times a month.

I am willing to pay every week for Oprah to get her nails done if she promises to stay off twitter.

Trump might be looking bad, but his staff is looking worse.

Spicer looks like he's aging overnight from trying to explain away all those "alternative" facts. :zoinks:

I had an aspie female friend whose parents were nuts about Labour. She was the nicest aspie female I'd met. I gave up with her though because nobody ever answered the phone. I could take the piss out of her and she would get it, and take the piss right back.

As for keeping in touch, I don't think she or anyone meant anything by not answering the phone, cos every now and then she said she'd make an effort to answer it, and she did. She didn't dislike me.

Her whole family never answered it. In the end her parents divorced, her dad was caught recording her mother's phone calls. Maybe that situation had something to do with it? :dunno:

Hard. For everyone involved.

I think for kids (of any age) it's like standing at the scene of a trainwreck...not knowing how to help, and trying not to get cut on the debris.
