The Witch :witch: is supposed to be a masterpiece of horror, but I know I'd regret it later.
I don't even want to see the trailer! Scary movies are fun in the moment, then I repent at leisure.
-
I avoid anything featuring Angelina Voight, because I can't fucking stomach that broad.
Don't get me started! Not surprisingly, I also skip anything with Brad Pitt in it.
-
I also skip anything featuring someone I know to be a Scientologist. :tinfoil:
-
Silence of the Lambs. A bit too gross for me.
-
The Harry Potter flicks.

Also anything in the Saw/Hostel "torture porn" category. :runaway:
-
The Harry Potter flicks.
Yeah, a little whimsy goes a long way!
-
I also am put off by "rom-coms/chick flicks." Partly because I'm just not a big fan of the genre,
and partly because I'm put off by the marketing assumption that "all women love this kind of movie!" :tard:
-
Mostly anything shown in cinemas. Poor image quality, bad sound, people who talk their way through the film... It's just not worth it.
-
I dislike the trend of remaking classic movies for no reason, or turning old TV series into movies.
Really, we're so bereft of imagination that we have to remake some early-60's dreck sitcom? :thumbdn:
-
Ghostbusters remake
-
Tend to avoid shaky hand-cam movies as they cause motion sickness. Still, enjoyed Cloverfield; just had to take a few breaks and look away from the screen now and then.

I did like the trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane. :o
-
Indeed that does look good.

The choice of music kept me distracted from the true theme of the movie. Clever. :tinfoil:

Or the endless reboots, and the reboots of the reboots, and the reboots masquerading as sequels. :GA:

Some franchises really do drag on far too long. Let's see some original material! :arrr:
-
I think the worst remake ever was the shot-by-shot remake of Psycho. WTF were they thinking?

Yeah, why remake something if you don't have an original take on it? :dunno:

Yeah, why remake something if you don't have an original take on it? :dunno:
The only difference was that the remake was in colour.

I'm surprised anyone funded this waste of time. :dunno:

It was a big release at the time.

Could try to name a couple of movie titles, hic et nunc, but but most horror movies I avoid seeing, tbh. Um, that's not because those moving pictures (in a somewhat 'logical' sequence) scare me shitless when I view them, I tend to laugh aloud realtime watching the movie/way² too far fetched imo too often, but because of when I look at stuff being played on a screen like that.. certain images 'remain' in my brain to pop up later in dreams or what-ever moment.. out of the blue.. when-ever.
Rather not, I feel..
What one takes in.. (air, thoughts, images, water/liquids, 'authority speaking', warmth/coldness, food, plus..) must come out.. (in one way or another).. somehow.

The Revenant
I might get it on Blu-ray. Maybe.
-
I'm avoiding anything scary. I always regret watching horror. :hide:
-
I don't like those torture porn movies either.
-
Ghostbusters remake
Ew

Actually not too bad. I saw it and prepared to be disappointed but I wasn't. Some pretty funny parts in it.
-
I don't like those torture porn movies either.
I never watch them. I don't need to know any more about human evil than I hear on the news. :hide:
-
I really want to see Suicide Squad.
I avoid watching movies most of the time anymore unless I'm home alone...because it's just a useless endeavor that leaves me angry. SO and the kid will rent movies and want me to watch them...and make them popcorn...and make them pretzels...or want to :blah: :blah: all the way through them.
I hate getting really interested in something and then getting torn away from it to do something, or being unable to even focus on it.
Just tie me to a cot and drip water on my head for 2 hours and torture me instead.
-
I've been avoiding The Purge: Election Year, because I want to wait until we all feel like watching it together. :orly:
-
The Martian. If your spaceship makes sounds in the vacuum of space, and the atmosphere of your version of Mars is dense enough to throw large objects hard enough to puncture a spacesuit, then your claim to be marketing a scientifically realistic film is dubious at best.

But the film is actually quite good.

But the film is actually quite good.
And that's why I'm probably going to end up seeing it at some point.
-
Still avoiding the Harry Potter flicks.

Still avoiding the Harry Potter flicks.
The books are way better. I was especially disappointed with the last movie because the ending was nothing like the book at all.
-
Oh, I'm avoiding the books, too. :zoinks:
-
Well I can identify with not seeing the films anyway. ;)
-
Anything featuring Angelina Voight, because she's creepy as hell. Not that she still gets roles anyway. :trollskull:
-
I see I've already posted about my Angelina aversion in the past. Oh well. >:D
