It seems that someone tattle-tale'ed to eclair that her bewbs got re-posted.
Does this person want to step forward?? ::)
-
Where did the repost happen?
-
The 'imnotahomo is threatening me with legal action' thread.

No one, NO ONE should step forward, because at least some people had the decency to tell me what you had done.
OK, so I tried to do the right thing and deal with you via PM and give you a chance to explain, or apologise. I was going to take it straight to a call out, but I actually respected that we had a friendship, or what I thought was a friendship of some sort once. And that all 'this' was friendly banter.
If you want to take it to something like this, when I've already outlined that you upset me and broke a trust, then so be it. You've done it again.
If you want to take it into a public forum here, then so be it. If that's your form of cheap entertainment, to call me out because I was upset with what you did, then fine.
If you are going to do it this way, then at least make it a private thread.

Well, if they did the 'right thing' then what's the problem with stepping forward?? :orly:

I thought it still was friendly banter. You're the one who'se acting all butthurt over nothing.

Explain to me how I've 'broken a trust' when all that I did is the same thing that you did??

Wow! You're better at bullshit guilt trips than I've seen in a while. Is that a tallent you naturally have, or did it take time to learn??

I think they should be reposted a lot more. :zoinks:

Why would you care unless you knew that what you did was very uncool?

It wasn't 'uncool', it was a  prank. Eclair had been pranking by posing her bewbs, then taking them down. It was only a matter of time before someone saw them and saved the pic. The Streisand effect takes over from there.
-
You do know what a prank is, right? :P

Had I been here I may have told her, for the same reason I would tell a friend if some one had taped a dixie cup to their hard hat at work. She has an interest in knowing if her boobs are posted somewhere w/o her knowledge IMO.
-
tbh I also would have told her if I'd known how she would take it, or that she wouldn't have otherwise known
I actually feel pretty bad that I wasn't the one who told her... I guess I am pretty stupid to not have realised how much it would have mattered (can I blame that on my aspergers? lol)
As it is though, it wasn't me who told her, although whoever it was did the right thing imo
-
posting someone elses nudes is very rude. period.
-

Having trouble understanding either of their points of view. Can I blame that on your aspergers too?

I totally agree.

If I had been online and I saw that you had reposted them, I would have told her, Scrapheap.
If you had shared a picture of your tinky winky with someone, wouldn't you want to know if they were sharing it with the world?

She didn't 'share it with me' she posted it in a public forum FFS!!! The Streisand effect applies to whatever you post publicly. :police:

:aff: Jeepers, Butterflies, don't scare me like that!
She just exposed an interesting double standard though.

Well, you can't judge it by my reaction, I am just scared of peni.

What's the double standard?

What's the double standard?
Eclairs pic get posted without her permission and everyone is up in arms, yet peaguy's pic is re-posted almost every week and nobody says a thing.
I know I'm unaware of peaguy and his former presence here, so I don't know if he did anything to deserve it or not. Maybe he gave prior permission?

I didn't know that was Peaguy, I assumed it was posted by someone elsewhere who wanted the world to see it. :dunno:
-
Pea posted his picture on the forum and left it there. It's pretty much been seen by everyone. Eclair deliberately ddid it when/where she'd know he was able to view it
Also Pea's trolled all over the internet so he's a different case to Eclair imo

My stating that I would likely have told her about her pic being reposted is not being up in arms. Furthermore I like Eclair even though she and I have had a few minor arguments. I never found anything to like about Peaguy. If that is a double standard I can live with it.

The only "double standard" I can think of (and it is quite a stretch, in my view) is that P did not remove his pic after a short time, but left it for all to "be amazed/amused" over.
I have yet to see this much heralded pic of Eclair's boobs (although, not for lack of searching, mind you), but the simple fact that she placed it up for only a few of her closest friends, then took it down rather quickly (even abruptly by some opinions), should speak volumes to most civilised people on this site.
Scr'eap, if you were truly going to prank her by re-posting an image of her (the keeping of said image actually speaks VOLUMES about your character and you fucking KNOW it!), you would have done so when only SHE was on the site and immediately removed it after you "got your reaction" off.
I see in your further posts a kind of controlling behavior that makes me question your statement that is was all meant in jest.
BTW, I would have most certainly relayed the link to her siting the re-posting of an image she had removed. Call me a narc, all you want.

Honestly, I did not believe that Eclair was trying to control outsiders' views of her nude pictures. I believed that she was tantalizing Scrapheap with her willingness to post pictures, while teasing him by deleting them before he could see them (unless he was in the right place at the right time). For example, she mentioned (when giving karma) that she knew that Soph had saved her picture for private viewing, and she appeared to accept this. However, Eclair's callout has changed my view of this. Perhaps this started as a joke, but this has changed into something else.
Furthermore, the fact that an action is very likely to occur does not make that action acceptable. The fact that Eclair posted nudes on a public forum, and the fact that this might lead to reposting elsewhere, does not mean that such reposting is morally right. For example, a rich traveler dressed in fine clothing may visit a poor area and flash large sums of money. This would significantly increase the chances of that traveler being robbed, but it does not justify robbery.
-
Actually I would say if he's deliberately flaunting his money then he does deserve to get robbed :P
Seriously though, I agree with what ; just said. Posting nudes online is always dangerous if you aren't ok with pretty much anyone seeing them, but that doesn't in any way change whether or not reporting them is right, and in this case it obviously isn't
If Scrap genuinely hadnt realised and just made a mistake, thinking she would be ok with it, then that would be understandable, but I think he is being a bit of an ass about it now
-
reposting , not reporting
cant be arsed editing the pot though, sorry
-
post, not pot.
Just helping your can't be arse.

haha thanks !

From a bewildered bystander point of view, i think...
The fact is her pic was taken and posted where she didn't want it posted. That is stealing. It is further amplified by the fact this was done by a friend. That is a big 'ouch'
I think the banter prior to this event is irrelevant, the fact is she took the photo down quickly speaks volumes - SHE DIDN'T WANT IT ON DISPLAY FOR JUST ANYONE. Her photo. Her boobies. Her decision. She is probably more annoyed that decision was taken off her than she is about who saw her boobies.
I am just making observations from a bystander point of view. That is what i see. Saying that, my impression of scrap is that he is not a nasty peice of work - more like just thoughtlessness rather than intentionally causing harm. I think he is very 'laddish' I think the testosterone was overflowing and his brain went to his pants - hence his decision to repost.
If that is the case, it is still not 'ok' and it doesn't make it right. Damage done. An apology to Eclair, rather than wriggling like a worm, might just be a start. I have not seen an apology.
If you guy's really have been friends for so long then i really hope you, Scrap, step upto the mark and say sorry - and mean it! Hope you guy's work it out

But this is NOT what she did.
Eclair posted that pic several times and took it down several times only to re-post it again. She didn't "place it up only for a few of her closest friends" as she has claimed, and you have parroted, she posted them for all memebers to see. She was playing a cat and mouse game, the mouse won, and now the cat is butthurt. That's all there is to this story.

No it is not. Anything posted in a public forum is public domain.

Once again I have to call bullshit here. Eclair had posted, deleted, reposted, redeleted and reposted that pic several times. It's clear by her behavior what she was doing. She was dangling a carrot above my head thinking that she was too clever to for me to get it.
Her mistake 110%.

Sweeping all that away for one second - and i do see you may have a point - one question to you - does it not bother you that you have caused this bad feeling to a friend? Maybe you got tons and tons of friends and you won't miss one, maybe you don't need friends? i dunno? but if i had just caused one of my buddies a load of hurt, wether i had excuses or not, i wouldn't be so pig headed about it

Firstly, it is impossible to guilt trip someone who has clearly demonstrated they are incapable of it.
Your words above are meant to imply that you feel guilt, when you do not. The past 24 hours and your most recent posts to keep this going show that. If you felt guilt genuinely, you had a window of timeframe to do that via PM or even on the forum. That did not happen. Therefore I believe you are incapable of regret at what you did in any way shape or form, either in regretting you posted the pics, and / or regretting you fucked a friendship and trust.
-
.... or regretting you fucked a friendship and trust.
I've never been made aware that one existed in the first place.

I believe Peaguy has repeatedly said that he doesn't care.

Peaguy reposted Fiona's picture to a more public part of the forum without her permission and she took offense to that, so he posted his own picture and said that he didn't mind if it was reposted anywhere, even reposting it himself to a more public part of the forum.

BULLSHIT! there's nothing private about the forum she posted in. any registered member can see it.
You're also admiting that she did it multiple times, which nulifies your argument.
-
Why do you think so few agree with your version of this thing?
Because they're siding with the 'damsel in distress'. ::)
People here see a victim, I see an emotional manipulator at work.

You're mistaken.

You need a few posts to see the sex forum don't you?
and I saw her checking Who'ds Online just after she posted them, so she WAS keeping an eye on who was there so she could remove them if some weirdo came on. and it;s unlikely a random weirdo would just so happened to have gone straight to that page they were on before she had chance to act
-
and I don't think Eclair is an emotional manipulator at all - I think she is genuinely hurt
to me it looks like a misunderstanding in that you didn't realise it would have this effect on her and you deleted it afterwards, but I do think you're being a bit of an arse about it to her now, and have said some pretty shit things to her
-
Yes. The whole thing's messed up. Wanting to eat my own words; should read more before posting. Can only hope it might still end well; don't know.

Why do you think the 'manipulator' and 'damsel in distress' accusations will wash with anyone who has a brain or a penis larger than 2 inches here?
You are the circus freak who wanted to bring the discussion of why you did it into the forum. I gave you the courtesy of 2 PM's to discuss it (hardly manipulating), to see why....you freakishly fabricated a Streisand effect scenario and you ran off and started this thread the moment we were PMing.
Trust me, the insults I could throw to make you feel less of a man are tempting, however, your posts and actions do it so brilliantly for me anyway.
Thanks and goodbye Scrap. I wish you all the best.

Not a victim, Scrap, just a friend who got mistreated for little more than a few cheap internet lulz.

so, in your mind, a girl can NEVER just decide that enough is enough and maybe she should say, "NO!!!" to you?
right?
rape can take many forms.
maybe you could consider another persons interests before proceeding with your own from time to time.

Could have been worse, it could have surfaced on 4chan.

Shockingly no. It's the third asspie penis I've seen on this site. They all start looking the same after awhile. The penis just is NOT photogenic. Men need to understand this. :P
