turned out to be - not only a troll - no - but trolling an actual persona, an arrested priest from some years ago, yes - and not only that - no:
it was a lame previous member, who did persona-trolls before! with great dedication. his previous visit, he was "a hot girl" sortof semi-famous singer chick, and everyone fell for it.
now
the moderator there (the most active one) (who is a douche) went through great lengths, to _protect_ this troll, yes, cus he believed it REALLY WAS A PASTOR
i kept telling them
i did google searches:
pastors name gives 0 results, not 1, not 2, 0, the ministry: 0, the HOME ADDRESS the pastor put up in his profile...
0 results
I TOLD THEM
theyre all "hush your gonna upset the good pastor!"
ON THE FIRST DAY
i PM'ed the moderators - not to rat out a troll - i like trolls - but to warn them that this "pastor" was pm-ing people, asking them personal details about their life. he offered to me to "talk about" my problems in life, that he had "noticed" on the forum. i never mention such stuff.
i told the pastor he was reported - to which he replied that he was not a troll, and was going to pm the admins himself, to explain the situation.
i assumed that a pm from the pastor himself would just confirm my worries for the admins, but nooo. they fell flat for it...
I TOLD THEM
its not over yet:
AFTER the whole ordeal is over, the troll is busted, etc, he isnt banned.
he asks to have his account deactivated. NOW. NOW... a re-join after deactivation constitutes a ban.
HE REJOINS THE NEXT DAY, blabbers on how easily fooled we all are, how we are all suckers, how we must learn from him, etc etc - then - - - - -
has his account deactivated again!!!!!!!

our good gullible moderator nearly loses his mind
its all too much for him
he goes on a massive rant, how everyone hated the pastor just cus hes christian and we're not, and how we should all be ashamed of ourselves for ripping on the poor pastor - even if the pastor was a troll - we are still terrible people for not accepting someone of another religion and whatnot :I
that is AFTER i repeatedly told HIM that nobodys ripping on the religion, but the faked persona :I
(that guys mental health is another chapter altogether. hes aspie too, but totally loco.)
anyway
it all ends with two forum oldtimers getting banned, and the troll i bet is welcome back, as long as he disguises as the good pastor.
the whole time i seriously feared a ban as well, for continuing my responsability to warn people from a potentially dangerous person (asking personal details = BAD)

in the end, theres a thread dedicated to summing everything up, and i take my oportunity to go all

the guy had just finished registering, and i was allready notifying the mods
on any normal forum, i'd be crowned prince of the forum. on ruled-by-nutjob-despot im in danger of being banned for popping his fragile illusion :green: ::)
and you know how certain statements, if loud enough, become truth?
today people are repeating how "unforthcoming everyone were" to someone of religion.
i reminded them in the same thread that no, EVERYONE welcomed the priest. _I_ was against him. alone.
theyre aaaaaaall just parrot-repeating THE MODERATOR, ohhhhh peoooople... :D
anyway, i just had to shake all this off me w a final venting :D

it woulda been a clever joke really, he impersonated a pastor whos been imprisoned for luring people online, for then to kidnap them (or something along those lines)
his failure was to be too obsessed with "the art of trolling", something that turns anybody into a douche,
proving his doucheness by returning "as himself" to tell everyone how gullible they just were
also, hes a thelemite, and theyre always obnoxiously full of themselves ::)

i used to be a huge fan, and got on the first official forums back in 98. since then im sortof "an oldie"
when they resurrected the forum, i was back as soon as i heard :D
usually their moderators are cool people, tolerant to most bullshit, but the main guy they put in charge, hell i bet he is even a liability to the rest of the mods. he has to be. only hes a pal so they hafta let him stay. idunno. its just lame...

his "self" is known as "søren" on the forums, but hes an american, fascinated w norwegian language
but "søren" would probably be his "normal" online name.
very full of himself, he seems to employ several different elaborate signatures spelling that name whenever hes not trolling/being himself :D

this guy would/should make you suspicious, he was like a happy jolly parody of a happy jolly jesus-loving pastor, altho w all the sin-anger replaced with the liberalism and tolerance often seen in (at least nordic) local priests. he had been to norway, probably got inspired while here.
