I'm having a hard time formulating how that info could be used to sell more guns. Maybe knowing who is pro-gun will allow them to pester them by email and phone to buy more guns? Shit I dunno.

It seems most people fundamentally misunderstand what the NRA is. Most people think they are some kind of 2nd amendment rights group, when they are simply a lobbyist for the gun manufacturers. Shouting about 2nd amendment rights certainly helps their cause, but their cause is selling more guns, not protecting your gun rights. They only do the latter to help the former.

One thing i'd like to say before this thread dies off completely. I have noticed when researching gun violence that as far back as "gun free zones" have existed, mass shootings have occurred exclusively in those areas. Now correct me if i'm wrong here, but as far as I can tell, no violent gun outbursts like this have EVER happened at a gun show. Or a shooting range. Or inside a military post. Or even in areas where concealed carry is legal.

REALLY simple facts. I mean so easy a fucking kindergartener could understand it. Ok, putting myself in a psycho's shoes. I suddenly want to go and shoot as many people as possible. Where do I do it? I "gun free zone". A place where there will be very little resistance. I don't want to go somewhere which a bunch of people might be armed. Then I stand a chance of getting shot myself before I could pick anyone off.
Gun control/ban in the way? That's alright. I'm a fucking psycho, so I will steal one or buy it from another criminal. Fuck the police and fuck the law. Doesn't make sense to you? Then you're just a walking corpse to these kind of people. Honest truth.

On another note, the NRA is guilty as sin when it comes to the price gouging that has been going on. The NRA created the fear, and the gun retailers made a profit, so it is obvious where their loyalties lie.
