As many of you know, Joe Biden announced Kamala Harris as his running mate.
The internet still hasn't quit laughing yet. :LMAO:
There's just too much material to work with here, the least of which is that Kamala means horrible in another language.

Really expected him to pick Warren since she was the most popular female candidate in the primaries.
-
There is a good chance that it will be President Kamala some time within the next 4 years. Given Biden's age and declining faculties.
Let that sink in.
OR you could end up with another 4 years of the Screaming Carrot Demon.

People are calling her a safe choice, but have some doubt about that for the same reason, plus Biden has suggested the intention of only one term. Harris didn't make it very far in the primaries simply because the support wasn't there.
-
I thought he'd pick Susan Rice, tbh, but Kamala Harris isn't a bad choice.
And it's Finnish, Scrap.

I am guessing that a big factor is the age of the presidential candidates, so a lot of people will be considering how strong the vice president is.
Kamala is strong on "law and order" and will be all over Pence in the debates. She is relatively young and strong.
I'd say that she is a good choice.
-
Also, and more importantly, anyone is better than the orange moron. Hell, my dog would do a better job.

I think Biden will do just fine.
-
Kamala is strong on "law and order"
That's why she didn't have support, so that's probably going to change. Progressives don't want the failed tough on crime policies of the past.

In 2020 an "each way bet", by having a "law and order" running mate who is also a progressive, may have seemed like a good idea.

It probably is a good idea, due to not being a progressive but rather a centrist like Biden, at least viewed that way. The progressive votes are already a lock, so it's the centrist who will be the deciding factor.

When biden of all people looks good compared to tango orange himself, you know the US is fucked.
(pls vote biden though)
-
It'll take them a long time to fix everything.
-
Y'all are so optimistic it's going to get fixed.

I remain optimistic and believe it can be fixed.

This election is gonna be a total fucking mess. I won't be able to vote mail-in in my state because the morons decided that "fear of COVID-19 exposure" wasn't a valid option. In addition, Mr. Trump and his cohorts are holding up the COVID relief bill debates because they would give money to the USPS. You know, so that the mail-in voting process can actually function? They claim that the electoral system would be susceptible to "election fraud". Because voter suppression is just fine and dandy as long as we can "own the libs". Once Trump and the GOP keep their seats (due to dubious circumstances), they're gonna fight to have that payroll tax abolished. Basically the thing that helps majorly to keep Social Security and Medicare funded?
We're in for some really rough time, folks. Hope y'all are prepped somehow.
-
Apparently a judge ordered the Trump campaign to provide proof of the voter fraud claims.

Still up to the governor of each state to make the rules on mail in voting...some want a legit physical health or disability reason provided before they will grant you that right. Many of the red states are following the lead of the head a$$hole on this and making sh*t harder than it should be right now.
Thankfully here in Pa the governor made it so that you can request a mail in ballot without even providing a reason due to covid-19...but Trump is still f*cking with the postal service so you have to wonder if you do mail it in, will it get there in time? I should be able to judge by how my shipping speeds are in another month on whether I can mail it in, or whether I need to brave the small classroom in a decrepit schoolhouse packed with people that is my polling place...none of these rabid hillbilly mother f*ckers are masking up around here.

So much for being optimistic.

Trump will win

Trump will win
Fuck you.
Then more people will suffer and die.
Honestly Scrap I used to think you were better than this shit.
Silly me.
-
im not supporting him im just stating the obvious.
i like being right
I mean, does Jo Biden even know what planet we are living on? :lol1:
-
That famous-ish guy who predicted that Trump would win the last election and has correctly predicted the last several US presidental elections is predicting a Joe Biden win. Hopefully it's not just because it makes him sleep easier at night.

Scott Adams? Who? Loads of people predicted trump would win. Americans are dumb, they like dumb politicians, it's NOT hard to predict.

Idk, but I'd take my chances with a wino living under a bridge right now. As long as someone makes sure he's fully dressed before they put him on the damn podium.
That's not Scrap.
Sorry Scrap. Thanks Py.

Trump will lose the vote and refuse to leave. He's going to take it to court for as long as he can.

I think you're right, although I hope you're wrong.
...after he got elected in 2016 I kept having a dream of him locked up by himself in the oval office with a handgun while security kept beating at the door...the dream did not end well.
Probably some godfather movie flashback. Not something I'd wish for anyone, not even that asshole.

That's because neither of you were listening to Scott Adams' podcast. He picked Kamala Harris as soon as Biden got the nomination.
He also predicted Trump would win back in 2015 when he first announced his candidacy.
Scott Adams is a pretty sharp guy, he's not always this accurate but he often is. I'm reading his book, "Loserthink" right now, it's pretty insightful.

The Dems are almost admitting as much, she's a stronger personality than he is. Of course there's a chance that the Repubs take the House back and that would throw a monkey wrench into that plan.
OR you could end up with another 4 years of the Screaming Carrot Demon.
As flawed as he is, he's better for the US than Biden/Blow are. China has said they would rather have Biden and that's pretty telling.

Was there a reason behind predicting Harris?

Scott Adams is sharp, yes, and you're right - I need to read his books.
-
But China prefers something other than Trump for the same reason as most sentient beings. The orange moron is bad for everyone.

Was there a reason behind predicting Harris?
Because as soon as she announced her candidacy, he noticed that all the major networks were giving her very favorable press, to the point of being preferential.
He reasoned that since the billionaire class largely picks who the favored candidates are and they also have a dominant influence on the media, that she had been anointed as their pick.
Specifically, he noted how they hardly reported on Kamala getting destroyed in the debates by Tulsi Gabbard.

^ Interesting. Thanks.
