i was going to buy x-mas gifts for my cousins, but than i took an arrow to the knee

I thought the arrow to the knee joke was funny but then I saw everyone spamming every video on youtube with refferences and I like having meaningless discussions on the comment section.

Its a reference to skyrim crappiness.
Most of the guards tell you their dreams and whatnot and then say they took an arrow to the knee and became guards.
Skyrim fanboys have made it their meme and are even worse than bronies with the pony images.
Skyrim is the last game on the elder scrolls saga in case you dont know that either

I was stabbed in the leg once - only 2-3 inches deep and 1.25" scar. That really sucked so I would rather avoid getting shot with an arrow.

You just need to create a huge marketing campaign over a meaningless videogame(in this case it could be a video since a videogame is perhaps a bit too much to ask you) and make sure you repeat that you got stabbed in your leg several times.
Just put the sequency of peter griffin when he is shot/stabbed/whatever and it should become a youtube hit and the next meme.
Is a the template going to be a weeble(inquiring minds want to know)?

Everyone gets lolcats because they are easy to understand

Even bronies make sure the MLP-FIM jokes are understandable by someone that isnt familiar with the show

I understand that but if they are cuturally exclusive is there a point on spamming with it everywhere?
I dont understand most 4chan memes but thats mainly because i dont care for that place and they arent shoved down my throat everywhere else.
If you are going to post it everywhere like lolcats at least make sure everyone can understand it without having had to play skyrim for several hours.

I only spammed this thread a bit because it was made by someone else. But yeah, this meme is a prime example of a meme that escalated out of control and became unfunny quickly.
But if anyone wants a explanation is simple:
The guard says, "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee"
But if meme logic applies, it'll eventually deduct into:
"I used to ___________, but then I took a _______________ to the _______"
Or some variant.
That's how memes change over time. Usually it starts out as a specific reference, then it boils down to sentence fillers like that.
And by doing that, I just killed the meme as explaining a meme usually destroys it. :trollface:
