Title: Yak Yak Yakima
Post by: Natalia Evans on October 05, 2007, 01:19:46 AM
Anyone ever heard of a small city called Yakima?

Anyone ever been there? What do you think of the city?

I used to think it was a big city when I was a little girl because it had the same stuff there, stores, restaurants, and movie theaters, but as I got older, I realized the city was a lot smallar than where we lived so I didn't like the city. Thank goodness Benny & Joon didn't take place there. The city is surrounded by dry lands but the valley is very green because they irrigate. I am going there this Saturday to see Weird Al in concert at the Washington State Fair and I am bringing my boyfriend with to see him. My uncle lives there too (not at the fair, in Yakima) and we are staying the night there and then driving home the next day before my shift starts. The city is only three hours away.

The Yakama Indian Reservation is located to the south and southeast of the city of Yakima.

I'm back and I didn't get any Yaktickits. The Yakofficers like to pull over out of state people and give them tickets if they are going fast than the speed limit, even five MPH over. I was going with the flow of traffic since I didn't know the speed limit. They even hardly have the speed limit signs there out on the roads so I got warned by my uncle and my mother the speed limit is 30 and they will pull me over because I am from out of state. I saw some parts there that reminded me of Spokane. They copied Spokane.  :grrr:
