If you recall, America was once under British rule. We kicked your asses. Twice.
The real question is, should Great Britain be under American rule?
-
No, because if we were UNDER you we'd be squashed

Yes, an army of bangers-and-mash-eating chavs is just what we need! :2thumbsup:

Here. Consider these pictures a memento of British rule in the US.

What would be the point?
Even the ancestors of those ignorant few, still clinging to that rotting island learned centuries ago to just rip what the previous invaders had left of the land apart, build all the boats you can and get the fuck out.
Do you think any of those lametards would have built all those ships if there had been a single bitch over there worth staying for?
Seriously?

It's civilize, not civilise. :P
Someone needs to teach you to speak English.

Go less than 20 miles east of me to the Chalmette Battlefield. There are a lot of British soldiers buried there after the battle on Jan 8, 1814. A small number of Americans too. I think that war settled who should be superior to whom. Everyone is equal in death.

Is that a Win Model 12 there??
-
No it's a 1200 Scrap. I would like longer mag tubes on it and the Benelli but I am too lazy to fuck with it. Anyway 4 rounds of 9 pellet 00 Buck should discourage most criminal scum (or Redcoats :2thumbsup: ), I leave the chamber empty.

Do you guys go out hunting with those?

I have shot Jack rabbits, Prairie Dogs and rats but I don't generally hunt. I have only fired my Weatherby .308 @ the range.

Yeah, now that I take a closer look, it's obvioisly not a Mod 12. ::)\

I figured a .308 Win has plenty of power, 300 Weatherby costs like hell and the amounts of powder required to get the last bit of oomph are definitely in the area of diminishing returns IMO. If I wanted a 300 mag I think the 300 Win Mag would do it.

Cool. I'm not sure how I'd feel about shooting things that are alive, but I love shooting cans off a wall. I had a friend with an air rifle as a kid, and it was great fun

When I worked at J.F.R., our lead crew chief, Austin Coil had one of those .30 Lazzeroni rifles. IIRC, the cartridge was a .404 Jeffery necked down to .30. The barrel life was only slightly over 2,500 rounds. :yikes:

How about:
"That's what SHE said!"
I have to agree with PPK, though. One quickly reaches the point of diminishing returns with ginormous powder loads from over-caliber cases pushing tiny bullets to higher velocities.

One of the scenes that liners in my head is from Garrison's Gorrillas, a 1970's TV show based on the Dirty Dozen. The guys were being taken to one of the Scandinavian countries on a mission when the submarine they were on was depth carged. One of the guys pulled out his service revolver and one of the submarine crew asked him just what good he thought he could do with it.

BTW, PPK, I already had a thread about unconstitutional law. ;)
I did see it, but did not post in it because when I am on 12 hour shifts I don't always feel ready to participate in discussions that require much work. I just feel like vegging when I get home. Also I posted that here to let Soph know that I am doing more productive things with my 2nd Amendment beliefs than going to the bother of trying to change a closed mind like hers. Soph can fuss all she wants about our right to bear arms and has no power to do a damn thing about it. We, OTOH, through activism as individual citizens and through our support of the NRA and Calguns Foundation can keep the scared liberal sheep from fucking off our rights.

I fear that we're fighting a losing battle. California is already a Police State, the rest of the US will follow.

Yeah. Paintball is legal here. Guns aren't actually illegal over here. You just need to have a license to own most of them. All farmers, and gamekeepers use guns.

Air rifles are common over here. Mostly kids toys. It's quite common to hear of a kid getting shot in the eye with an aair rifle, and there would always be stories going around school of somebody getting shot in the arse by an air rifle.

Paintball used to be illegal here in Australia but it is allowed now. There were people in the local shopping centre recently giving out information on paintballing (where to go, how much it costs, etc).

I would never tollerate a government who would go so far as to outlaw paintball. :facepalm2:

There are weird laws in some countries yea. But there are also weird laws in the US. What about states that don't allow gay marriage? That's worse imo than not allowing paintball (although I agree 100% that banning paintball is stupid btw). Just saying american laws aren't perfect either

It is. I played it with some people I used to work with. When the paintballs don't burst, though, it is like being hit with a small rock. I got hit on the head and back with paintballs that didn't burst. Also got shot in the face. Glad to have my mask on - that one did burst.

Oh that isn't very nice. It is sort of cheating, too, because they are changing the game.
