...you're reading an old thread and have no fucking clue if you posted in it; And then you have to skim the entire thread to ensure you didn't already reply to it?
-
 no it hasn't happened to me yet.
a couple of times i have found my posts while
reading through, and thought 'shit, did i write that?'

lol same here, and I usually think to myself, "Why did I write that?"

I get that all the time. I post reactively. I don't hate it though. It is like a present to me. I see someone quoting me and having a go at me and laugh, and then I react on whatever they say and laugh more, and move onto the next thread. It is simple but it works for me.

If you can't remember whether you ever posted in a thread, go back to the index page for the forum it's in,
and look at the little octagonal icon to the left of the thread's title. If it is shaped like a cartoon speech balloon,
with a little pointy thing coming out of one corner, that means you have at some point posted in that thread! :nerd!:

^I have never noticed that.
Sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed when I find something I wrote ages ago. :paperbag:

That sneaky fucker... Thanks for point that out cbc. :)
But sometimes even if you do know, you still kind of look to see whenever or not your attitude has changed over time too. It'd look stupid to say something ages ago, only to say the exact opposite of it when it's necro-bumped.

But sometimes that is a good sign, it may mean you've become wiser over time. If anyone points out the change in your stance,
you can explain how and why your attitude has evolved, thus inspiring a fascinating new discussion! Or just blame Semicolon.

Hold on and let me see if I already posted a reply.... :zoinks:

*checks thread*
Nope that never happens to me.

Does it matter? They are all made for posting. True postwhores produce, regardless.
