Title: Should there be warnings on/before religious tv programs and films?
Post by: Adam on January 15, 2011, 08:29:02 PM
Similar to the sex/nudity/violence etc ones?

What about on the bible? There's plenty of sex and violence in the bible yet kids have access to it

Are you saying religious books and films should carry warnings if they feature sex and violence,
or that they should carry warnings because of the religious content itself?   :scratchhead:

I think there were two totally unrelated premises. I do like Scrap's take on it though.

Both I guess. If there are warnings about sex/violence on dvds (and even kids being turned away from cinemas becauase of this), then the same shoulkd apply to religious stuff with sex/violence in it. I guess people just assume no kid would ever wanna read the bible anyway these days

Religious indoctrination can be harmful though in itself. More so than a mild sex scene in a film, or a woman's breasts (unless she's really ugly obviously)
