So, George sold Lucasfilm to Disney today. They will start releasing new Star Wars films in 2015. They couldn't possibly do any worse, right?

I had to check the date when I read that particular news item. I was sure it had to be April's Fool.
I think they should let the bloody thing rest now. Ever since I heard of Lucas releasing the films in 3D, I've been expecting new Smell-O-Vision versions of the films. ::)

Disney will no doubt ruin the franchise.
They have gone to shit since the death of their founder.

Disney bought Marvel for $4.4 billion and have made (I think) 7 movies with at least another 7 in the works. This is what it takes to recover that kind of investment. I imagine that the 4.05 billion investment in Lucasfilm will require at least 8-10 films. There is going to be a lot of Star Wars soon.
