yep, and the BAD news is that, in a week or so, that little shit will be in my tender care. (the bad news is for me, sadly - i'm not up to my usual Dragon Teacher mode, at the mo :( ).

That's what I figured. Like me having to be a nurse at 7 am - it seem impossible in the contemplation, but the reality is I just become the person I need to be to get the job done. (All the while muttering underneath my breath, of course)

good analogy, mcj, cos that sounds about right. it becomes second nature, like every other social interaction i "do" (i.e., i'm a bloody good actor).
i call it "putting professional head on ", triste, which means personal stuff gets locked away, until it's appropriate. that's what i mean by "professional" when i was "looking after" people at WP. it's not false, just another aspect.
