Has anyone here ever seen THIS^ floating around the.net before? I think I saw it on myspace once but Ive always wondered where the fuck it came from!.......
-
Only about 10,000 times
-
Aww, things are looking up for you, you finally got a date.
-
Even so, what are its origins........... ???
-
Doing a quick search revieled nothing, so who knows really.
Is it really that important?
-
Even so, what are its origins........... ???
You've posted it before. Are you telling us you don't know?
-
It's origins are a photoshop program and some twisted persons imagination
-
Seen it used on the Daily Rotten forum a few times. I don't think it originated there. At first, I thought it was "Prison Bubba", but it looks more like a homeless dude.
-
You posted it in my crazy fundamental thread. It made me laught. Most random thing I saw today.
-

Exactly.Perhaps its a photoshoped Robert Maplethorpe photo.
-
robert maplethorpe, eh? but you're definitely not gay, right?
-
It may seem scary but that looks like black version of my loving stepfather who has loved and raised me. A hard working honest man but looks like he's gonna rape you.
-

:LMAO:

That pic was funny about 5 years ago when I was playing MMORPGs and it was referring to people getting harassed and killed by other players. People would use it to talk shit about past PvP fights and embarrassing losses to Raid boss type monsters. They moved on to other MeMes later on to spam.
-
I feel old.
-
Sounds like a joke, I can picture someone saying it, someone thinking the guy looked weird.
-
Funny enough, a self-obsessed psychology student (HG) blew these rape jokes/threads out of proportion while she was a member here. Hasn't stopped her from being a full-time twat though.
-
You're still in contact with her enough to know?
:hahaha:

Laugh all you want. It's not as if you haven't had a grudge.
What also concerns me is that they allow personalities like hers in psychology courses.
-
It's not the courses I'd be worried about so much as the certification at the end, and the potential job offers. But I don't know her working style well enough to guess whether she's that likely to cause damage or not.

I don't entirely despise her (when it comes to my experiences with her, I'm ambivalent), but she seems to be self-centred with how she helped numerous victims, etc, as if she's some kind of god. It surprises me that someone like her who's been vulnerable herself can victimise others because of their disability -- it's changed my perspective on victims of domestic abuse greatly.
-
Um, I wouldn't recommend generalizing to all victims of domestic abuse.

Then what's the point in trying to be sympathetic and understanding towards those who've been in worse situations then me? And why brag about your crap childhood if you're going to keep your work private when you're called out in an argument anyway? It didn't stop her from making unqualified assumptions about us.
Your attitude is fucking cold.

She was a victim of domestic violence? Gee I wonder why :orly:

That's what she claimed.
Anyhow, I know I'm the one with the problem here. :p

The self-obsessed psych student... This wouldn't be a certain "Catrona", would it?

No. HG and Catrona are two different people.
-
Glad to get that cleared up. Well, who's HG, then?

Former member of Intensity. She left in 2007 when she decided that she was too good for this place.
Also a former friend of mine.

Too good for Intensity?
(Goes "Pffffft!" at the door immediately after it slams.)

The Werbert thread did it.

Okay, what?
You said that HG's self-centeredness made you change your attitude towards domestic violence victims. My only point was that just because HG acted like that, doesn't mean all domestic violence victims are the same.
How is my attitude fucking cold?

I thought that the meaning of your last message was that I shouldn't have generalised victims of domestic abuse in the first place, as in I shouldn't take into account of what they've been through and how it affects them psychologically, even though they may act like a twat on a message board or whatever. In other words, showing compassion towards cases like that is naive thinking on my part.
C'mon, you two implied that in late 2006. :P
Although she may be an arrogant fuckwit, fair play to her for doing what she can to help victims of rape or abuse.

Ah, but I do think compassion should be shown to victims of domestic (or any other kind of) abuse, even if they're acting like twats on a message board. Right up to and until the point where they get in your way. Letting a rabid tiger maul you is stupid. But so is exterminating all tigers, because they're beautiful creatures.
Naivete is dressing up like a gazelle.
