Has anybody been apart of a Book Club where You read a book and analyze it as a group. I am joining one tonight.

No, but I've taken classes where that was the
premise. Can be fun.

No, but there was a great UK comedy series called Book Group that was shelved after two series
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0276650/

If they are anything like that, then i would like to go.
However, i suspect they are mainly for OAPs reading Catherine Cookson, and i am too shy.

Enjoy

Sure, but mostly as part of school.

I find them quite fun, though not enough to have gone out of my way to track one down now that I don't have to write reports for a grade anymore.

Writing groups are much better because you're actually a part of the creation.

Did some poetry writing group things,
but that bored me senseless.

I once had to read a book in my senior year of high school that was from Oprah's bookclub. It was Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison. It fucking sucked. >:(
