Who benefited the most from 911 just think about that one for awhile.
It wasn't any of these terror groups sure they got their message out and made a statement and all that but that is peanuts compared to what the US government got out of it, bigger budgets, new agencies, the suppression of that pesky Constitution thing that always gets in their way. Think of all the money being poured into all this security theater they have come up with which any determined somewhat intelligent terrorist could easily deal with. It's all done in the name of 911 to keep us safe what a crock of shit. I'm not one of those people who think the government was behind it I just feel they have been exploiting it from day one to expand their powers and enrich themselves and their friends

Happy Death Day.

Not sure what it's like in other parts of the country but I live only 70 miles from NYC and it's still in the news almost daily for one reason or another, it gets old very quick :zombiefuck:
-
:o
-
It's in the news once a year now, plus those times when a terrorist group (any terrorist group) threatens the US. And on 9/11 every year, the media reproduce their usual obligatory conspiracy articles.
It is getting old. 13 years, to be more precise. :P
-
13 years wasn't that long ago.....
Then again....
It was :(

It's good to see the site members are getting a better appreciation
when they're too old. Me, I can cope with up to 16 or so, but I remember
back in the day when people actually complained about fresher stuff.
-
Oh, I was born a grumpy old man and can easily complain about fresh stuff, too. :P
-
back in the day
:hahaha:
-
Does anyone remember if something of interest happened on 9/11 the year before?

2000??

"This is the FAA accident report for the mid-air collision in Florida one year prior to the 9/11/01 attacks on the WTC and Pentagon (and PA).
I brought this up in the week of 9/11/01, but this story was apparently "lost" in the news at the time. There were subsequent articles on this topic, and where FReepers can still find them, they should be appended onto posts on this thread.
Some important points to consider:
the Saudi national who piloted his aircraft into the Piper Aztec commercial flight had received his pilot's license from the Phillipines
Early blogs at the time noted that the Saudi pilot was Mohamed Atta or Alhazmi's roommate (this point needs to be confirmed)
This was a 9/11 attack...9/11 of 2000, not 2001"

Truthfully, that sounds more like a stupid pilot than something deliberate. You know, "never attribute to malice, that which is adequately explained by human stupidity".
-
It certainly sounds more like stupidity than malice.
-
Or just being stupid, for the sake of being stupid.

Fresher news is a cunt by the name of 'jihadi john', some english raghead convert thats busy beheading and slitting the throats of captured aid worker hostages and demanding, basically, that US and UK fuck off out of the iraqi/syrian 'caliphate' declared by ISIS.
He has done several youtube videos showing the beheadings of these captured aid workers, and stirred up one hell of a hornets nest of fury and indignation amongst the brits and yanks. I seriously think jihadi john's days are numbered. Obama has called him a dead man walking. I'm inclined to agree. I'll be glad to see the day when some special forces team bushwhack him in his sleep and raise up his head on a spike.

Apparently today is now being called "Patriot Day".
-
I like to think of it as World Terrorism Day
:grouphug:
-
Mohammid Atta go and shag a greasy pig, taking it up it's shit-covered arsehole.
-
Well, I flew today. It still feels a bit weird to board a plane on this particular date.
-
Happy Death Day.
-
It wasn't mentioned here but it was on my mind.
