Weakling's not a troll, she's a queen and a mom.

She's referring to the interesting experience we have had recently with General Razorbeard, who also turned 18 in September.

Dear I-LOVE-MAPS

We do not know each other well.  So let me introduce myself to you.
I enjoy "ruling" my "empire" with humour, hence the  :LMAO: emoticons Loup gave me.  In fact I think humour is a highly underrated cure and aphrodisiac.  I do make fun at others expense at times, but I usually try to remember to add LOL to alert some members that my words should not be taken seriously.  I'd just woken up from a nap and forgot to do this with a Newbie.  I am quick to apologize where needed.  I apologize for not adding the LOL with you.

BTW - I usually leave the ass whipping to the big boys on site since I have an Empire to rule and a family to run.  And no, I truly do not believe I'm Queen Victoria.

raising me is not going to happen, im a stubborn arse and currently content in being set in my ways. trust me enough have tried and failed to warrant not trying. XD but your welcome to come up and try... i have spent more then my fare share of time with internet trolls so dont try it... you'll end up down to my sad level and ill beat you with experience. this is being said because as far as weakling is concerned... my troll-dar is going off :)

You do realise that there are people here who were on teh interwebs literally before you were born? I'm among them.

A "schnookie" or "schnook" for short, is a very esteemed term of endearment. :green:

In this case I have used it as a noun, but you can also use it in the following ways:

"Come here and give me a schnook"

"I wanna get schnookie with you"

"Lets get schnooked up"

"Schnookarama"

"Schnookafied"

"Schnookalicious"

and so on.

How old are you, Charles?

18 turned 18 in sep

Oh, lordy.  Everyone, put on your "Let's raise Junior" clothes.  Stand in line.  We're still trying to raise your brother General Razorbeard.
raising me is not going to happen, im a stubborn arse and currently content in being set in my ways. trust me enough have tried and failed to warrant not trying.

Anyway, peace, love, and a heartfelt welcome. We'll discuss raising you later. :P

Is that even possible?

Wiki has a decent article on it. Like you said, it's been around in some form for a long time, but it says ISPs started in the 80's which is what made it more comercial. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Internet

You're right. I hadn't realized that it had been around so long. I still vaguely remember when I was a kid, all the hype about the new technology that was the internet . God, it almost makes me feel old. I can't believe that the internet's been around since the 1960's.

As technology was shit back then compared to today, snail mail and telephones would have been much quicker.

Nope, the www was created in 1988, was available to the public in 1990 or so. Its predecessor, the Usenet, was available to universities and the military in the 70s.

Me, I first used the Usenet in the 80s.

And that was in the days of green screens and computers the size of your dunny.

And they had fuck all processing power and only used 5 1/4" floppies or tape.

The floppies were very unusual when I first started out with computers in the 70s. Tape storage was what we had.

My dad has you beat though odeon, he got a Masters Degree in computer science from Texas A&M in 1963.

They didn't even have tape then, they used stacks of punch cards.  :o
