That genre has enough bands already. I met a girl from Norway that is an exchange student at UNC Chapel Hill the other week at the hotel my friend works at. I just relax in the Spa there after I get high as hell sometimes. Anyways she said that she knows a guy her age that has a new band that is blackmetal like Mayhem. She claims they are really good. No clue on the name. So there are people still in Norway forming new blackmetal bands. Why don't you find new bands period if the old ones bore you so much?

Too bad I was actually in highschool when that shit was going on. I was listening to blackmetal in 1995, you were probably in elementary school? Have you ever seen Emperor in concert? I sure have. Creed is has a decent guitarist but a singer who apes the grunge style of singing too much for my tastes.

Heard of them, but I don't claim to listen to them. Blackmetal is only one of the many things I listen to musically. I asked if you have seen Emperor in concert, which is the true test of a fan that loves music. I have seen Emperor, Samael and Dimmu Borgir as far as music that is pretty much blackmetal goes. Live concerts are where the men are seperated from the boys musically.
Leviathan is a one man band, and they don't really tour live. If you can't play as a band a live show in a tight and cohesive manner, then you aren't worth my money. Weakling also has made one CD and has never performed live. If you have never performed live then....you are basically worthless. They are from San Francisco lol.

made a clear decision on this, and rather
than debating it, the former members merely
KEPT posting links. That kind of behavior will
not work, no matter how wrong the actions taken
against it are.
Look, this is not real life, where a govt. can
be overthrown, if it doesn't conform to the
wishes of it's citizens. On the other hand,
there is one simple way to show displeasure,
and some members are doing so.
BUT, losing a couple of posters, no matter how
prolific, isn't going to do any real damage.
And, since they are mainly from a clique, it
may actually make the site easier for those
who post less often.

Just because some asshat can sit in a studio and record a bunch of shit with pro tools and put it together to make music doesn't mean they are worth a damn. I put stock in bands that can perform live. I mentioned those bands because I have actually seen them live and they were excellent.

Necrophagist is indeed badass, but he has a touring band now. Necrophagist is an actual band that tours, and I am sure future releases will feature an actual band. Death the band that is credited with being a pioneer in Death Metal, had its first album made by one person also. Death eventually became a real band and not just the Chuck Shuldiner show. BTW have you seen Necrophagist cover Death's Crystal Mountain?
