Archbishop Eick, thinks that all condemnations done at the concillium of Trente (1545-1563) are still valid.
People are damned/condemned if they 'met kennis van zaken, in het volle besef van de waarheid en met een vrije wil' (with knowledge of the facts, and in full knowing of the truth, with a free will) rebuked the truths of the church. Eijk said this was still valid today.
Just so you know. :P

Which religion is this?

Which religion is this?
Archbishop Eick is the Archbishop of Utrecht in the Netherlands for the Roman Catholic church.
Pope Benedict made him Archbishop in 2007, and Cardinal in 2012.
-
I take it he's not a big fan of the new pope :zoinks:
-
And that probably is a mutual feeling. :zoinks:

Oh, this man Eick is getting more and more funny.
He now has a big part of his church hating him, for he personally blocked a visit from the new pope to the Netherlands.
Too funny.
Now there are rebellious RC members trying to get the pope visiting the Netherlands, officially backed up by protestants.
It is no secret that Eick is no fan of Franciscus.

Russian five-year-olds dig their way out of nursery to buy sports car (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/sep/08/russian-5-year-olds-tunneled-out-nursery-jaguar-sports-car)
Two five-year-old Russian boys used spades to dig their way out of their kindergarten and set off on a mission to buy a Jaguar sports car, the Komsomolskaya Pravda daily has reported.
The two boys disappeared as their group took part in a supervised walk in the grounds of the kindergarten in the city of Magnitogorsk in the Urals region, the tabloid said.
Chelyabinsk regional interior ministry confirmed the boys’ escape from the kindergarten. “We don’t have any details yet, we can only confirm the fact itself,” a spokesman said, adding that the incident took place several days ago.
After reaching freedom, the boys walked just over a mile to a car showroom selling luxury cars. A female driver noticed them and asked what they were doing. They told her they had come from their kindergarten to buy a Jaguar but did not have any money.
She put them in her car and drove them to a police station.
The boys had prepared their escape for several days, digging a hole under a fence using spades from the sandpit, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported, citing kindergarten staff.
The kindergarten only noticed the boys’ absence after half an hour.
Local educational authorities responded by firing the supervisor in charge at the time and giving a warning to the acting head.
“This is considered a very serious violation,” the head of the pre-school department of Magnitogorsk, Olga Denisenko, told Komsomolskaya Pravda. She could not be immediately reached for comment.
The children’s parents did not submit any complaint against the kindergarten.

Man who calls police to say he's "too high" found in pile of Doritos
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- An Ohio man made a strange, and not-so-wise call to police last Friday to tell them that he was "too high" on marijuana.
Police arrived at the 22-year-old man's home at approximately 5:20 p.m, according to WJW.
There, they found him on the floor "in a fetal position," surrounded by, "a plethora of Doritos, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish and Chips Ahoy cookies."
According to a police report, the man told the officer that he couldn't feel his hands because he smoked too much weed.
The 22-year-old gave the officer the keys to his car, where he had smoked the pot. The cop recovered a glass pipe, rolling papers, roaches and a glass jar of marijuana.
According to the police report, charges are pending for drug possession and drug paraphernalia.

Be careful where you send your pictures... (http://www.nltimes.nl/2015/10/06/limburg-teacher-accidentally-sends-photo-of-his-penis-to-students-whatsapp-group/)
During an erotic texting session with his girlfriend, a teacher at the St. Ursula School in Horn, Limburg, accidentally send a picture of his penis to a group of students in one of his classes. An investigation made by the Foundation for Education in Middle-Limburg (SOML) determined that it was “a very stupid mistake,” and that the sexting incident was done without malicious intent.
It was decided that the teacher will continue to teach at the school, but not to those students who saw the explicit picture.
The school board also decided there was no reasons to enforce stricter rules on communications between students and teachers, as all agree on the convenience and practicality of discussions using social media, Chairman of the SOML Executive Board Thieu Kikken told 1Limburg.nl

I am now fairly convinced that Catholicism actually has it's roots in worship of demonic spirits. Its strange because in modern times the religion is considered to be one of much virtue. The pope is looked at as a heroic icon even by the atheistic, and the religion has vastly changed over time from it's darker roots.
It makes me wonder how often ideology starts radicalized, then softens and eventually no longer resembles itself over time.

I got the impression the investigation isn't about any new reports, just a parent getting fed up with the school board's level of inaction towards reports filed by students in the past and getting the police involved. The penis incident might have been the breaking point for that person, I don't know. :dunno:

Of course the penis is not brave, nor the man it is attached to. Stupid bloke, who in heat can't see the difference between class-chat and love chat. Quite stupid.
But, if this is the reason other pupils and parents now bring out the stories about other teachers, there is coming something good out of this stupidity.
Does not make it less stupid. The "brave" was a joke. (Maybe I miss Lit :P )

Erdogan Time (http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34631326)
Confused Turks are asking "what's the time?" after automatic clocks defied a government decision to defer a seasonal hour's change in the time.
Along with other countries, Turkey had been due to "fall back" an hour on Saturday at the end of summertime daylight saving.
The Turkish government however decided to postpone the change until after upcoming polls.
But some clocks have changed the time regardless - causing bewilderment.
The hashtag #saatkac - or "what's the time?" - is now trending in Turkey as Twitter users express confusion.
Image copyright Twitter
Along with countries in the Eastern European Time (EET) zone such as Bulgaria, Lithuania and Ukraine, and countries elsewhere, Turkey had been expected to add an hour to Sunday at the end of daylight saving time.
According to Turkish authorities, the delay will mean it is lighter when voters go to the polls on 1 November. The time change will then finally go ahead at 04:00 on 8 November.
Turkey has postponed time changes before, citing important national events.
But the increasing prevalence of electronic timekeepers such as computers and smartphones means that for many the time changed regardless of the directive.
'Erdogan time'
Many Turkish residents took to social media to express their frustration - some linking the directive directly to the paternalistic figure of Turkey's President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"The hour hasn't changed in Turkey, like it usually does at this time of year," one British expat, who did not want to be named, said on Facebook.
"We're on special 'Erdogan time' as he decided not to implement daylight savings until after the election. Unfortunately, while he CAN hold back time, he CAN'T hold back automatic clocks which seem to have gone ahead and changed the hour regardless. Hence we're all very confused."
"For the next two weeks #Turkey is on EEST... Erdogan Engineered Standard Time," said Twitter user @aysekarahasan.
Smartphone manufacturers suggest users override the automatic reset in their device by turning it off in the settings.

The Roman Catholics copied the Romans. They incorporated religious habits of areas they conquered. Making it Roman Catholic habits. Look at saint celebrations in some countries, they are fairly identical to older heathen celebrations, and on the same day. But slowly the aim of the celebration changed. Lots of old lore has been saved in a changed mode that way. The Roman Empire did the same, when conquering Europe. Incorporate what people value, give it a twist and say it is part of the Roman lore and belief. Romanise the gods, make them a temple too. Ad some civilian rights and safety and roads, and conquering becomes a piece of cake.
Romans got most of their beliefs from Babylon. Babylonians generally worshipped what we would refer to as "demons", including making human sacrifices to these dieties.

Too many stupidities to count, this morning. I fully expect Trump to say stupid things so he doesn't count, and on a much smaller scale, I expect the same from our Prime Minister and his cohorts.

President Alexander Lukashenko has ruled Belarus for 22 years, jailing opponents and activists and keeping state control over the struggling economy.
People in the eastern European country of Belarus are mocking their leader’s authoritarian ways and apparent verbal flub by stripping naked at work.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, often referred to as Europe’s last dictator, delivered a speech last week urging the country to innovate its way out of an economic crisis. “We must get undressed and work,” the autocratic leader told the summit in Minsk.
According to Russian broadcaster RT, Lukashenko may have meant to say “develop and work,” as the two phrases sound similar in Russian.
But some people in Belarus delighted in taking their repressive leader’s words literally, posting photos of themselves on social media in various stages of undress while at work, using the hashtag #getnakedandwork.
Many wrote tongue-in-cheek comments alongside their posts, along the lines of “The leader says we should,” according to RT.
Lukashenko has ruled Belarus for 22 years, and his jailing of opponents, activists and journalists has earned him the censure of human rights groups. Belarus’ largely state-controlled economy is struggling with high inflation and unemployment, and is expected to contract by 3 percent this year.
In his speech last week, Lukashenko defended state control over the economy. “The words I say from this rostrum are law for you!” he said, according to opposition broadcaster Belsat.
If the Belarusian leader wants his word to be law in the country, he may want to check he uses the right words.

A trailer full of chocolate was stolen from the town of Neustadt in Germany.
The 20 ton cargo load, which included Kinder eggs, Nutella and other confectionary, was taken by thieves between Saturday evening and Sunday noon.
Police have said it was worth up to €70,000 (£63,000).
I wonder if they are happily assembling toys now. :apondering:
