Me! I got banned (as LegionOfDoom) from Metal Archives for posting this:
Good grief. It's no wonder why I hardly ever post here. This moronic war between the posers and elitists just keeps going on and on. But in my opinion, the only difference between the two groups is the specific bands/genres they listen to.
Both elitists and posers are guilty of these things:
-Listening to the most terrible music ever made, be it mainstream and underground, and thinking it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
-Ignoring bands with actual talent.
-Irrational hatred towards bands that do not meet their specific criteria.
-Irrational hatred towards others who dislikes the listener's favorite bands.
Grow up, kids. Your close-mindedness is not going to help the metal scene in any way. Believe me, you cannot force others to listen to what YOU like. You can only hope that they will at least hear you out on what you like and why you think more people should like it.
I'm just rambling on. To be honest, I dislike most of what gets classified as metalcore, black metal, funeral/drone doom (I am a big fan of doom metal in general), power metal, groove metal, and death/grind core. MOST. It takes a really good example of those to get me to listen. Those with actual music writing ability. These genres are notorious for the lack of it, hence I tend to shy away from them. And maybe they are just not in my tastes.
Only when the unjustified anger and hostility terminates, is when we can start achieving progression. In other words, why can't we just GET ALONG?

But I was NOT trolling! I was telling everyone that fighting over crappy music is pointless! It's no wonder the Metal Archives has a bad reputation among even other Heavy Metal forums. Everyone on there is full of SHIT! Sure, I found a lot of great Doom Metal bands on the database, but the forums really do suck, especially since I got permanently banned just for telling everyone that they should stop fighting over stupid shit and get along. It's kind of hard to be on a forum where elitists and posers constantly bash each other and anyone who tries to break the fight are considered trolls.

To be honest, I'm straight, but it is not in my true nature to discriminate anyone because of their gender, sexual orientation, race, or religion. The things I have said were just to spark a reaction from anyone on here.

No worries. I was never really offended. You really should be nicer to the other people on the site as well though. With a lot of the things you say to people you make them angry, when it would be better trying to make friends with them.

You see, that's my problem. I tend to be an instigator, when I have trouble with catching anyone's attention and/or having something interesting to talk about. I feel like a little retarded child in an adult male's body. :( What's even worse is that 9 times out of 10, I am the one expected to take the initiative. Otherwise, no one else will.
I don't hold any anger towards anyone on here because I embarrassed myself on here. I trolled myself. I don't want to be the next Internet Chris-chan. Then I would have no chance of getting any friends on the Internet AND in real life.
I was diagnosed with high functioning autism and ADHD when I was 2 years old. I got diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome and again, ADHD, about 1 year ago. I didn't even know what autism was until a couple of years ago. I see how it has affected my life and the way I behaved. For 17 years, I believed that I was Mentally Retarded! Emotionally abusive parents did not help my situation any.
I'm used to being the village idiot. But I would like to be acknowledged as a human being as feelings and actually has a little bit of intelligence and sense, if any. If people don't think I am retarded, then more than likely, they think that I am just incredibly dull.

Just remember though, not everyone will do the same, and not everyone will like you. I always try and take the attitude that if I'm nice to everyone then I only need 1% of people to like me back. If some people reject you, then don't let it stop you being nice to everyone else.
