Please, when you take the poll, if you could indicate your answer as well as which hemisphere you live in, it would be interesting to see. EDIT: Also add if left handed or right handed, or ambidextrous. (thanks Jack)
-
I stir mostly clockwise, and I live in the northern hemisphere.
:2thumbsup:
-
Clockwise. Northern hemisphere.
First thought was left/right handed might make more of a difference.
-
Right handed. Counter clockwise. Southern hemisphere.
Scientific evidence of the coreolis effect right there. Checkmate flat-Earthers.

Wow, this is very interesting!
I am right handed.
-
Stirring clockwise feels awkward to me. Unless I'm stirring left handed, in which case it feels natural.
If my cup is on a flat surface then I would tend to stir my cup counter-clockwise with a teaspoon held in my right hand.
If I am holding my cup then I would tend to hold the cup with my right hand and stir clockwise with my left hand.
-
I am right handed and from Australia and stir most counter clockwise.
-
Mostly clockwise but I switch it up when I'm baking to help things get mixed better.
Northern hemisphere, right handed.
-
Clockwise, northern hemisphere.

northern hemi
right handed
get left and right mixed up (and by extension clockwise and counterclockwise) never noticed!
so went and stirred a pot of something that was handily sitting on the hob, to find out.
i naturallv webt for counter-clockwiswe to start with. then i switched to clockwise, to ring the changes, then back to counterclockwise.
:apondering: are you studying coriolis effect on the human brain?
-
I don't. Northern.

Yup. Was curious to see if perhaps it had an effect on the psyche.
I realise this might not be feasible- but if everyone who replied here could also query their friends and/or family, then we might really get somewhere. :chores:
Lol, what if we make a ground breaking discovery!? :autism:

LOL, well GL with that!
you do realise that a ground-breaking discovery on I^2 wouldn't break the surface tension in your average toilet bowl?
i mean we'd be too busy throwing out dumb repartee to even notice, wouldn't we?
-
I don't. Northern.
you don't what? stir? :LMAO:
-
I don't really stir either. I just sort of dig in one spot and spin the container while I'm doing it. :lol1: I spin the bowl counter clockwise if that makes any difference. :zoinks:
-
-
I never used to stir drinks either, I thought it was more sophisticated to shake them.
But my wife complained so much about all the coffee on the floor, on the curtains, in her hair, on our clothes, and so on. You just can't please some people.

I know, right. But that's why god created blenders.

Southern hemisphere, left-handed and I stir clockwise.
