.....  I am the storm

You really like those guys, don't you?

Me, too.
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Jane says
I'm done with Sergio
He treats me like a ragdoll
She hides
The television
Says I don't owe him nothing,
But if he comes back again
Tell him to wait right here for me
Or just
Try again tomorrow
I'm gonna kick tomorrow
Gonna kick tomorrow

Jane says
Have you seen my wig around?
I feel naked without it
She knows
They all want her to go
But that's O.K. man
She dont like them anyway
Jane says
She's goin away to spain
When she gets my money saved
I'm gonna start tomorrow
I'm gonna kick tomorrow
Gonna kick tomorrow

She gets mad
Starts to cry
She takes a swing but
She cant hit
She don't mean no harm
She just don't know
What else to do about it

Jane goes
To the store at 8:00
She walk up on St. Andrews
She waits
And gets her dinner there
She pulls her dinner
From her pocket
Jane says
I've never been in love
I don't know what it is
Only knows if someone wants her
I want them if they want me
I only know they want me

She gets mad
And she starts to cry
She takes a swing man
She cant hit!
She don't mean no harm
She just dont know
What else to do about it

Jane says
Jane says

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand
In a...desperate land

Lost in a Roman...wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah

There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the King's highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold

The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and we'll do the rest

The blue bus is callin' us
The blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken' us

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother...I want to...fuck you

C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
On a blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
C'mon, yeah

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die

This is the end

You walked into the party
Like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror
As you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

You had me several years ago
When I was still quite naive
Well, you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved
And one of them was me
I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga
And your horse naturally won
Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun
Well, you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not, you're with
Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

I love this one.

Yeah, they were my definite favorite, for
a long time. Now I'm not so sure. Tull
and the Who sometimes speak more
to me.

But, until about '86, I was finding that BOC's
lyrics were matching my existence far too well.

We could probably be bloodbrothers. I thought most of their songs are about me, though.

No. I figured that they didn't have one,
given how long ago they split up.

Bloom, Lanier and Roeser are still recording in collaboration. I think Bouchard comes and goes. I can't remember the newest bass players name, but he was on many songs from the last two releases. The last drummer I saw them with (in the late nineties) had a triple kick set. One of his pedals hit two bass drums timed to be a flam. Flamkick really rocks. I sometimes hear the flamkick on the studio tracks, too.

I'll track down what their doing.
I remembered a time when
there was the Brain Surgeons
(whom I saw a couple of times -
and they really sucked) and
Eric Bloom All Stars. I think
between the two, they had
all the members.

I won't be the fool in my life
I won't change the rules in my life
In all your silence
I knew it all along
You haven't got the sense to know
what's right from what is wrong
And I really haven't got the time to
tell you about the things that are absurd

Chorus:
Don't fear tomorrow
Don't fear tomorrow

I won't play the fool to your knife, to your knife
You can't change the tune in my sight, in my life
With all you science, I knew it all along
You haven't got the nerve to write the words
within this song
And you really haven't got the time to tell
me why you really are
You really haven't got the time to tell me
why you really are
You really haven't got the time to tell me
why you really are

Chorus:
Don't fear tomorrow
Don't fear tomorrow

I have a demo of the Brain Surgeons. It's not bad, but I think the Patty Smyth influence is too strong.

They were ok, the first time that
I saw them. They fucking sucked
the second. Showed up drunk and
late, and sounded like shit.
