It will all be thrown out eventually only the lawyers make out in these things

If he mailed obscene videos to an address in the US and these videos were only appropriate for the European market, then he is probably guilty of what he has been accused of.  He never should have sent them, even if someone in the US ordered them.

Very true. A business must operate within the various laws inherent to lands where the business is conducted. This is most especially true of international businesses. These laws extend to any imports and even include distribution of Disney movies, which may still be available in China, for instance, but are "out of print" or "unavailable" for markets in the USA.

I wonder; is this the guy who Litigious posted a couple of pics from, which pictured guys pissing on pornstars?  Maybe I have heard of the guy, after all, thanks to the ever expansive and comprehensive resource that is Intensity2.

Wouldn't that be a crime against some business law or monopoly rather than the Miller law?

... and possibly a reduced sentence would result? I don't know.

I don't really give a shit about porn, but I have mixed feelings about the Miller Law. I question its constitutionality in the USA, but I can also see how some people might feel that porn should not be on every street corner, too.

As far as I understand, the law is unconstitutional. And no-one shoves the porn in your face, do they?

Well, yeah. In certain areas of the Big City the merchants DO most definitely shove porn in your face, but you can choose to leave or stay. Those are not residential areas of the city.

Ever been in Hamburg? The hookers practically try to drag you into the brothels. Same thing in Amsterdam. And porn is everywhere in those districts of the cities. 8)

As long as he finds enough lawyers who want to lick their own shit off of his cock, then yes.

"Yesterday, Paul Little (a.k.a. Max Hardcore) was convicted on 10 counts of distributing obscene materials. (source) The short version: Consenting adults decided to make a movie. Consenting adults starred in the movie. Consenting adults bought the movie. Nevertheless, your government decided that someone should go to prison for it.

And yesterday, twelve of the dumbest motherfuckers in Florida bent the Constitution over and fucked it in the ass.

I don’t like Max Hardcore’s movies. You probably wouldn’t either. I have exercised my right to watch something else, but I certainly don’t mind if my neighbors want to watch his movies. That is what freedom is.

Today, you are less free because of a sleazeball administration and twelve of Florida’s most moronic citizens."

Max Hardcore Convicted

Absurd and arbitrary law and, as far as I can understand, against the 1st Amendment.

The judges are perfectly within their constitutional rights, free speech only applies to freedom of political discourse.

So it would be legal if the models had the communist manifesto tattooed onto their bodies?

Probably. Quite absurd.
