They do, and with that four-way camera strapped to their back.

There are a bunch of remote places were it looks like they did it that way,  I wonder if they just ship the equipment and hire a local or send somebody  with it

Have always wondered about the people who review the photos too, blurring out license plates and things like that.

They have software to do that.

I think it's fairly easy to do that kind of image recognition, considering that their images will almost always present views from very specific angles.

That makes sense. Seems they might still want to have humans review them to look for oversights.
