Hooked up new HD box today

Was not as bad as I thought just one cable from the new box..   Everything looks so clear. It's nice anybody else have it?

I want to get a PS3 so I can watch HD movies.  Although, with the resolution of the panel in my projector, I'd only be able to do 720P.  I'll have to upgrade someday to 1080P.  There are panels which have HDCP now so I'll be able to do it.  When I built the projector, the prices of those panels were just too high, and none of them had HDCP.

I've built my own Media PC for watching downloaded stuff etc, I can easily drop a bluray drive it in and HDTV digital tuners when I'm ready.

I use MediaPortal at the moment, works okay.

I grew up on rabbit ears and a black and white tv only 4 stations when I was in Florida this it a great change

They had nothing like that when I was growing up.  TV for me is not starting to live up to what I wanted  when I was little.  I still remember watching the tubes in the back of our color set

TV has gone to shit these days, and what I mean by that is how it is presented. Running overtime on purpose, so many adds, and even during the show and the credits. Shifting their timeslots around so much.

Same. I think my family was a bit behind. But then, I remember when we got Channel 10 and that was the fourth channel. They also used to close the channels at night. Now there is tv available 24 hours a day.

Well thats it, I get 6 Free to Air TV channels, I wont get Pay TV, but I have the internets, so thats my form of Pay TV.
