Not so much. Most glassy eyed doorsteppers are Jehovah's Witnesses, with the occasional friendly Mormon salesmen from the temple up the road for variety. Evangelical rightwing nutjobs aren't a big part of the religious map here - its said our national religion is agnosticism. followed by Islam (mostly NOT of the infidel-burning, jihadi-training variety), Catholicism (since around 20% of the English population is of Irish origin), C of E (Catholic light, with no pope and rituals in English) and Methodism, Hiduism, Sikhism and Buddhists, with a bevy of dying Protestant denominations thrown in who tend to share chapels and the like these days. There's some exceptions though, like
this one - quite a 'gospelly' church, but throws itself into social projects, so they cant be that bad.
