Burnout Paradise was fun when I played the demo.  I played a little of Turok too.   The Devil May Cry 4 demo is fun and I get that from Gamefly when its released.   I also get Lost Odyssey this month.

My friend brought over Guitar Hero 3 and I have tried Rock Band as well.   The drums of rock band are somewhat realistic compared to the guitar of both games.  There is no open and no way to slide between chords, hit pinch harmonics, palm mute, or anything.   Pressing buttons in tandem with picking (there is only one string lol) and the odd whammy bar on held notes (since you can't do vibrato on the buttons that are on the fretboard).  Overall disappointing, though it can be a really fucking difficult game.  My friends seem to think it is more fun than actual guitar, but most of them can't play guitar for shit anyways lol.   It is too shallow for me.

I still play Rainbow Six: Vegas, Mass Effect and the odd session of Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4.

Oh fuck, I don't know how much time I wasted playing Wizball on the C64 when i was a teen. Probably too much knowing me.

Darts, with my neighbor and his posse, across the alley.

I fucking throw at the worst numbers to give them a chance, but I still win. I prefer to play Double In and Double Out.  Darts, horseshoes, mumblypeg and marbles are MY games, though.  I even played a whole tourney where I made eye contact with my opponent as I threw my dart. I was drinking beer then, too! Meh, I need an opponent who can throw.

I can't get them on the dice though. They won't throw craps with me, anymore. It's not that I know how to throw winning rolls or anything, but I seem to recognize a winner from a loser. I took all their money the last few times by side betting.

I know not of the 'old' part, but sad you are not. Tetris and Minesweeper are excellent brainfuckers and good time wasters :)
