Reminds me of 8th grade before I was any good at standing up for myself, the guy in my class who kept coming up to me and putting his arm around me or grabbing my hand. Luckily he didn't try anything more than that. I felt bad for him 'cause the other kids treated him like utter shit, and he came to me for help with conflicts. But I had no idea how to say "Sorry, just not interested" and he remained quite oblivious to my timid little hints that I wanted him to quit touching me.

Someone weighing about 400lbs.

I am always afraid the cable is going to snap on those suckers as it is.

Had to ride a freight elevator in the dam when I was a kid...it was from the 40's, it took 20-30 minutes to reach the bottom, clanging, shaking, and rattling all the way down. The only thing good about it was that it was a huge elevator, like the size of a garage.

Baby wouldn't be so bad, as they wouldn't know what's going on. Being with a kid creates the situation of not only having to control one's own upset in order to avoid upsetting another, but also the burden of easing their upset. If trapped in an elevator would prefer to be free to have my freak out without worrying it's going to traumatize anyone. :laugh:
