Seems some troll, after begging to be banned, has spammed up AFF quite badly. You seldom see a suicide-by-mod on that scale.

Neat; that implementation of a dynamically adjusted saturation filter, or possibly filter pair, might just do it. Though I have yet to test it.

If it works well, it'll make the sound all nice and toasty when driving the limiter hard... :evillaugh:

Fuck.  That's gonna push back the anti-circumscision movement like 20 years.

You're probably right, although really it should be a non-issue- if you're having safe-sex it doesn't matter whether you've been circumcised or not.

Although you have to wonder if that is that doctor's real name- Dr De Cock

In what way??  In that its not relevant anymore?

Five million people were newly infected with aids in 2003 (not that long ago)- timeline of AIDS

I know, and it's pretty awful and certainly relevant now, perhaps more than ever, considering, for example, that a large part of the South African population is HIV positive.

However, this thread is about what you're thinking right now, and that was, in fact, my thought.

I thought of that TV series, "Angels in America", that was partly about HIV and AIDS, and set in the 80's. Somehow, it got the whole thing right, and so I thought "AIDS is so... 80's".

Vivi used to be behind HIV-related research before she became a comedian and (currently) a teacher.

Yeah I just wondered what made you think that.  Thanks for explaining- I feel old enough to remember all those tip of the ice-burg adverts they had in the 80's, seems the ads focus on other STD's now.

Which reminds me, Vivi says hi. She seems to feel a bit better now. :)

Yeah, she seems to be doing okay, just busy.  :)

I'm thinking it must be nearly the kids' bedtimes.

All my examples are showing group delay, below the resonant frequency, as negatively phased, whereas the group delay above resonant frequency is positively phased. That would explain some anomalies in the frequency response, above resonance.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Intensity has always been more negative than positive I believe.

Seems like that second depressive period has begun. Either that, or I'm just having an exceptionally half-arsed day. Or night-morning to be precise. Little motivation (that coding session didn't last long. though I made a bit of progress, at least), little energy, little feeling and dullness in general.

If it is that bloody depressive period, I am atleast much better prepared than last year, though. I got through the previous one during autumn quite nicely. The second is the stronger of the two, though.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to try and think of a way to amuse myself.
