i haven't "spoken for myself" because i've been trying to post this fucking thing for ages, but everyone else seems to be exercised by it, and so i've had the new post warning about 6 times. this is my last attempt, as i'm getting utterly bored by it.

bollocks. it's up to me where i draw the line between privacy and disclosure, with regard to myself. maybe you shoud think more about being a little less voracious in pursuing lines of enquiry which cross people's boundaries.
It would be nice if you opened up a bit though to a degree.

Dont make claims that you are unwilling or unable to back up then. I seem to manage to avoid getting dragged down those lines, and i have the same privacy concerns. If you are going to argue with me then at least dont hide behind some artifical facade of imaginary lines,

As for knowing and trusting people, thats more or less impossible to do over a forum of this nature really...
if you say so. i'll discuss that with the number of people i consider my closest friends, whom i've met through these boards, and with whom i'm in contact outside of this board, and see what they think.

as for your comment about search engines... a) i'm not in the least interesting enough for anyone to target me, and don't possess the delusional sense of self importance that i am, and
