Not really, possums are about the weight of a bull terrier if you get a good well fed one.  Last night they sounded like grown men running up and down my polished wood floors, but they were in the roof...

(and if only there WERE grown men running up and down my hallway!)

I used to have rats. I think they're great pets as long as you keep the cage cleaned.

I had a black and white rat as a teenager. It was a cool pet, inquisitive, friendly and smart. It used to sit on my head while I was reading. 8)
