Have never seen a graphing calculator, only know how to make graphs in spreadsheet. It looks addictive.

It is. But I'm more into their symbolic equation solvers and vector analysis capabilities. And the programming.

^I would like one of those (I would also like to know how to use it). I just have a scientific calculator that I bought when I was in high school. I still have its instruction manual too.

You can get one for a reasonable price at eBay. The one on the right--the 50g--is the one to get these days. The middle one is basically a failed update of the one to the left, and the left one--the 48G--is rather old now. I bought mine in 1995, I think.

BTW, you are better off with a TI graphing calculator unless you like the RPN entry mode. HP calculators are known for their RPN implementations, which is great if you need to be able to perform exploratory calculation, but it does take some getting used to.

I have one of the 48Gs.  Somewhere I have a graphing calculator I got when I was in college in 1989 but I don't remember what brand or model it is.

Again agreeing with Jack.

Posting a link to old cold war watchtowers in the North of the Netherlands for Parts as a thank you.

I toyed with my HP 50g all evening yesterday. It is sometimes very soothing to do exploratory calculus.
