Wow, taxes? I've never had that problem. I guess they include taxes in the price of the item. Or shipping.
If you buy stuff from the US, you need to pay for any number of taxes and fees. And I suspect things will get worse now.
I've only paid for the items and shipping. I suspect they include in the shipping all their taxes and fees.

In the UK you're slapped with import tax at 20% for goods from the US and you have to pay it to your delivery courier before they will deliver it, plus their own fee of £10-15 for "handling charges". It isn't worth it, especially having already paid for postage.

^I noticed the prices of goods that are usually reasonable in the States, down in South Africa and Botswana, were more expensive when I was 11 years old. It might explain the processing fees and other stuff that happened a while back, all this was way before 9/11 of course.

I noticed how the value of the GBP (Great British Pound) went down after Brexit. Brexit sucked.

Some do, others don't. Sometimes eBay sellers add a global fees/packaging thing that covers everything. And I guess different countries have different sets of taxes and fees.

It'll all change now that the orange baby introduced his reciprocal tariffs.

I love how they call it "handling charges".

I didn't understand the point of Brexit... I knew it was you guys leaving the EU, but at what cost was it beneficial?

IMO, it was fuelled from racism, but yes, it wasn't very beneficial. Apparently, we lose out on over a £1 billion a year from it. :-\ It has meant many regulations have been sidestepped, too.
