Thank goodness we don't get those.

People's driving rights and the cost of their car insurance aren't affected by their driving record? There's a point system here too, or at least something along that lines, but I have no clue what a person has to do to get their license revoked, except for driving drunk or something. I've had one ticket since I moved here but I had the option to take an online course to avoid the points on my driving record. I opted to do that because otherwise my insurance would have gone up.  :dunno:

People's insurance costs are affected by how they drive (well, what they hit and why).

I see. Here it's actually affected by how people drive.  :lol1: It's not only tickets and accidents. I've heard some insurance companies offer safe driver discounts for people who allow some sort of monitor in their car. I'm not certain how that works.  :dunno:

Not today, but not long ago, I received some well-packed stamps in the mail from a valued friend. Unfortunately, because I'm packing everything up for renovations, I can't unpack the stamps. I really want to though because I'm sure there are some treasures there.  :dunno:

A Life Insurance notice from our agent. She wants to meet with us and can save us some money.

I called her back for details right away.

$10 dollar water bill is scary?

Ours is usually three times that, except in summer when we run the sprinkler system, which leads to $50 dollar water bills.

One thing I think is BS is that they charge us on the same bill a percentage of water usage for sewage (flushing toilets, washing dishes) disposal. Even though half of our water goes onto the garden and grass, we still get a bump for the sewage part of the bill.

Sounds like Mafia crap to me, but we have to pay it!

I was joking because it's not much at all. I don't think we have to pay for sewage disposal. And we don't have to pay the huge annual water bill that homeowners get here.

A bill that I owe for my visit to the Urgent Care back in late March/ early April

I thought my Medicaid/Medicare thing was helping me with that... I'll wait until I have the funds in a few days to pay it (if need be)

It was not the normal USPS guy who comes in the afternoon, but a larger truck.
I had ordered some CD shelving from Amazon. I have too many CDs to fit in one room, but if I can have a thousand of my favorites handy, all is better.

This guy struggled with no wheels or any aids to scrub my heavy package to the door. I figured UPS, Fed-Ex or even Amazon Home delivery would have brought the thing.
But USPS? Poor guy!

So, I have some assembly work to do and I will have a selection of Quick Grab CDs in my listening room. It will also serve as a diffusion panel to improve acoustics somewhat over just a plain flat wall.

This was on Friday (we don't get mail on the weekends), Kayleigh got a new frying pan. The box it came in was overly huge, could have fit four frying pans in it.
