Back in the late 1960's I read The Last Days of the Late Great State of California.  Wished I remembered more than the name.

Oh yeah, it had a passage about the San Juan Capistrano swallows circling the mission on St Joseph's Day (?) and drowning themselves in the Pacific because California had sunk.

So all we need is another societal revolution of the scope of computers and the internet?



Watched the video, it was interesting. Essentially the people making the decisions have become completely removed from the people feeling the effects of those decisions. Which seems symptomatic of the wealth divide in lots of places, not just California.
