who here watches the show 24?

it is by far my favorite show on TV.  if anyone wants to discuss this season as it unfolds, then lets do it here:

Jack Bauer is the hot shot from the Los Angeles Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU).

he is a bad ass mother fucker.  seriously bad ass.
24 takes place over a 24 hour period of time.  each episode is an hour, for example 6-7am, and takes place in real time.
each story has a conspiracy taking place with some high up government official or 'old money' person, pulling the strings of the puppets they use to wreak havok on america.

the last episode had Jack Bauer being in a situation where he HAD TO shoot an old friend in the thraot and to kill him.
also, a suitcase nuclear bomb went off in Los Angeles, the Wilshire District.


if you like nonstop action, this is the show.  rarely is there a filler episode.  something is always happening and at a very quick pace.

i especially liked when, a few seasons ago, they needed information from a terrorist that wouldn't speak.
so what they did was send special forces in to capture and tie up his family; wife and two boys.

then, via video they showed this to the terrorist in real time.

he was like, "you wouldn't kill my boy!"
jack says, "try me."

terrorist, "you wouldn't dare!"

jack gave the word and they executed his son in a live feed.

the terrorist started shitting his pants and told them everything they wanted to know.

later, it turned out that they had videotaped the execution scene and it was not real.
