He is my best mate and makes me laugh.
He really gives Asians a lot of crap. If you talk about someone driving badly on the road, he will launch into "Were they Asian? I bet they were Asian weren't they?" When you uncomfortably state you don't know, he will tell you how he reckons they were and they are terrible drivers. Then he will expand on his terrible times with Asians on the road and make broad stereotypes about how terrible they are at driving. He does the same whenever an Asian does anything remotely "Asian" or stereotyped. When they do the two finger peace sign in photos he questions "What the Hell are they doing? What does that even mean?"
His wife often slaps him or sternly rebukes him to his "But Sandi, you've seen them."
It is funny in a cringey way.
Ed is not really racist though. Some of his best friends are Asian. Actually so is his wife and in-laws.
So is his family
So is Eddy. (He considers himself an equal opportunity bigot)
