Not sure how these are executive decisions. Is this actually about executive function?

Thought this was about making decisions like a BOSS, like an executive.

That's how I understood it too.  Decisions of the type that a business executive would make.  8)

In light of Jack's input, I suppose I could say that I sometimes make an executive decision to
run my paper shredder at a later hour than my neighbors might care to listen to it.  >:D

Fair enough, just taking things too literally then.

Executive decisions are decisions made by one person for a group without seeking or considering the input of said group.
With a spazzy brain going all over the place with thoughts, taking the lead of all possibly contradictory ideas by making a firm decision does not seem that different.
That sounds like executive functioning which is different because it's individualized and personal, decision making, task management, planning, attention and impulse.

I meant all the thoughts and distractions together were the group where the executive decision had been taken for. Being the boss over one's scatterbrained mess. (To avoid executive disfunction?) Be firm, give a mental kick in the posterior etc.

CBC may need to enlighten us on what she meant. .  :tard:

I first heard the phrase "executive decision" from this woman, who was making fun of herself by
classifying her hair issues as serious business.  From that context I gathered that "executive decision"
was a humorous way to refer to any trivial decision, by classifying it as serious career-type stuff.

Exactly.  ANY decision is an executive decision if you have the right attitude. :heisenberg:

I am going to take part of the day off and actually celebrate spring/easter/chocolate bunny day.

I've done enough for today.

Me too, and I haven't actually done anything.  But it's my weekend off.  8)
