One wonders if my (inevitable) return has upped the class level...or lowered it? :P

No, he ran away when he was 12 and eventually captured by the Germans and had to work in a work camp. Then he was a refugee to Holland where he met my grandmother. they then moved to australia in the 50s.

He doesn't like to talk about past.
