I was in Army ROTC back in 1974 during my freshman year of college Part 1.  I called my "student" senior officer an asshole, because he was one!  I didn't go back for the rest of the contract, and apparently neither did he.  Except he was 3 years into the deal and I was only in the option year.  meaning that he could have been drafted for voiding his contract, while I was home free.  I saw early on that I was headed for the courtmartial because of my rampant individuality! :evillaugh:

I'm not into military stuff at all. My sister is though. She's in the air force Junior ROTC at her high school.

I told a female friend I'd marry her if the draft included women.  It won't include BOTH women and homosexuals under Bush!

Honestly though I worry for my boyfriend if the draft gets put into place.  He'd be eligible, I think.

What a shame that would be.

It's a really ridiculous policy.  The military lost many excellent personnel, who's only crime was that they preferred members of the same sex.  YET, they keep the scumbags, like the ones that ran AbuGraib prison, commit rape and sexual harassment on female recruits and female officers, do drugs, commit murder, etc.  Men have been murdered in the military just on the suspicion that they were gay!
