Finally did my long-delayed laundry!  So glad I don't have to do it tonight.  8)

Finally finished painting the house. :woohoo:

And now it's time to start all over again,.

Am I misremembering that you had some serious issues with a contractor who worked on your house.  How did that turn out?

Oh yes, we did. We had to redo the whole thing and pay for it ourselves. Apparently it's impossible to successfully sue a contractor even if you have the paperwork to show all the things he fucked up.

Ouch.

Yes. But it is what it is. While I wouldn't grieve if he happened to die in the hands of a mass murderer (and would help if given the chance), life's too short. The house is fine now.

Bummed around. Made washing machine wash the laundry that I then forgot to hang and dry. Went to a course. Was home late.

Probably did some more, but it feels like a day of massive professional procrastination.

Went out to lunch with Carla, took a nice walk with her later.

Went to my son's house and fixed the door to his basement.   It had not been locked or even able to be locked since he moved in it was just stuck.  Had to plane off  .5 inch on the bottom and .25 on the top  secure the frame which was loose, rehang it and put a latch on it :zombiefuck:

Yesterday was busier than usual for me.  I had lunch at a friend's house, then went to a
movie in the evening.  My brother and I saw The Girl On The Train.  Then I went home,
painted, and saw Jurassic World.  Yes, again.    :dino2:

Received my new 500ml distillation kit. Fast shipping, faster than I expected by far. And the seller threw in a bag full of keck clips and two packs of PH paper.

Plus my nitroethane arrived.

Bought some lithium metal, in mineral oil, a little under an ounce, in little prills or chips, kinda small pelleted nuggets of Li metal, which is one of two perfect forms for my main uses for it in the world of chemistry. The other, as it happens, being the strips of Li foil to be yanked out, under mineral oil or under petrol that has been sparged with inert gas through a fishtank bubbler airstone thingy to prevent it oxidizing as rapidly as it can be pulled out. Its in the form of a thin tape-like foil, very thin and very rapidly reactive due to the large surface area.

Got some goodies in the mail.

Recovered partly from the Big Walk I did on Sunday. Can tell I have gotten unfit because I am still sore. Took Kayleigh to therapy and while she was in there I went and posted a letter and got some groceries. Came home and did some homework.

Began to feel feverish and befuddled at work, as I sometimes do at the change of a season,
with its fluctuations in temperature.  Recovered in time to get my prep work and cleaning done.
