For three days I've been trying, and I only find super-specific little piece of shit can-only-play-one-codec-at-the-time, or I get virus-bundles disguised as genuine players...

So...

Does anybody know of a specific video-player, on a specific website, that they can suggest to me? :I

I hate that also and after having several problems with malware in players have just given up and look for places that have vids in formats I can play

I'd say VLC Media Player, but you've tried it already, chances are.
