I can sympathise. I was on a house waiting list since early 2005 and every once in a while I would get my hopes up because they would call me in to "discuss my situation". Of course nothing was done/happened. But I still had to fill out forms, etc.

Then it happened; I was offered a place a couple of months ago and I took it. Took their bloody time!
