My downstairs neighbor has been making something with a hammer.    Hours of noise!

Not a lot, now. It's too hot.

Three chaps are on the roof (the flat part) of my neighbour's house across the street. They speak English amongst each other and they're laying a new bitumen coating on it. Every now and then I hear the sound a propane-burner makes.

Pretty shitty job to do on such a warm day, I reckon.

Maybe they are hobbyists.

Girl next door angry with the youngest dog. By the sound of it, she (dog) went after the chickens.

Small groundhog has taken up residence under my porch...every time I go out he pops his head out, startles me, goes back in.

Somehow I get the impression he's enjoying this game.

I've watched a couple groundhogs playing around by the river. They are funny little creatures... they tend to be brave, then hesitate in their bravery, then end up in a tight spot (a little too close to a human), then they scurry off in the wrong direction and have to sneak back. They're funny.....little dopey fellas.

Aww, sweet little fella. He knows you're his neighbor...or perhaps he thinks you're just a feature of his home. :P
