On Saturday it was a cop blocking our driveway and a dead deer ON our driveway at 7am. A kid hit it on his way to work around 6:30am. We called a friend to take it instead of animal control and although it was a young one (born this year for sure), they got 25 lbs of ground of it and I'm glad it didn't go to waste.

Breezy, temperate and our windows are open.  Fresh air is good.  We only have to close when our neighbors start smoking on their back porch.  The air currents blow the tobacco stench into our bedroom and kitchen.

Yesterday was 19*C which is bizarre for November because usually we have snow by now. Today it's 3*C but my body is not liking the sudden drop. All of the critters that gather for the winter have been having a field day with the warmer weather.

All night it sounded as though the cars that were going past were running over something. When I went out there this morning, I couldn't see what it was. Weird.

It's been raining for the last 6 hours and it's supposed to continue all day along with 90km/h winds this afternoon into this evening. Really glad I hauled in the extra firewood last night to run the woodstove and I have exactly nowhere to be today.

We live by ourselves, near a commuter train station, and they mostly forget about us. Littering isn't usually that bad, thankfully.
