\Seems silly that grieving relatives can veto a decision which would potentially save several other people's lives. You can understand why the right to do that is in place, but still, I think rational decisions should be made by doctors, not emotional decisions by family. I just made an appointment so I can sign up to be on the bone marrow registry. It is at uni that they are running it and they are hoping for heaps of people to sign up.

I have wondered about how to go about doing this for years, this way it will be easy.

Since I had kids, I set my card to "YES"  as an organ donor. In the past, often felt that any emergency care I might need would be compromised if I carried a valid donor card, but I no longer care as much about living forever.
