it's been crazy here the past month and a half.
week 1. torrential rain resulting in massive floods and water damage. the turbidity of the water was 30 times the safety limit and we couldn't drink our water.
week 1 intersession which was around 4 days of cloudless sunshine.
week 2: snow, snow, snow. it knocked out power, froze the train tracks and mass transit slowed to a crawl. however, compared to some places, the amount of snow we got was small but our area is temperate so snow is not common. when it does snow, it is usually only a few centimeters and it melts within a few hours. we were not prepared for 1 to 2 feet of snow that lasted for around a week.
week 2 intersession which was around 7 days of scattered clouds and sunshine.
week 3: near hurricane strength windstorm. it tore up half of our city park and uprooted and knocked over trees that were in the hundreds and even thousands of years of life. it is quite a sight seeing a 12-foot tree base perpendicular to the ground. oh yeah, people are still without power because of this storm.
week 3 intersession which was also around 7 days of scattered clouds with sunshine.
week 4: right now it is hailing and with lightning and thunder.
week 4 intersession hasn't happened yet ...
week 5: who knows ...
it's like the weather here has a bipolar disorder.
