I keep hoping that we'll have a few more degrees above zero but so far, no luck.

Took over a week of above zero days to get the streets safe here.
The around zero days are the worst I think.

A bit below freezing, very windy, snowing like fuck.

We are expected to get about four or five inches before daybreak, but the weather guys say it will snow all day tomorrow as well. I doubt it.  Not so much that I would intervene to outsmart those who are paid to do this job, but I do know Indiana. The weather systems will change before the morn arrives.

I say we will have clear skies before noon and the snow will stop.
