Great weather here for the past few days.  High of 60°F (15.5°C) with a low of 28°F (-2°C).

I'm curious, too. Our local news service reports wildfires "in Australia"  as if the entire continent of Australia was a small town two counties over.

Haven't googled it yet.

The thing about Australia is, fire is actually an important part of renewal of the vegetation.  Some seed pods to not strike and grow unless they are burned by fire.  This is obviously a bit different.

We had a fire a few towns over, but that was contained within the day thankfully. Someone I used to know well was on the news, she lost her house, all they have are the clothes on their backs and their car, none of their immediate family died which is good. They lived about 2½ hours away east in Traralgon, one of the places where the fire was pretty bad.

Are you getting smoke from any of the fires, Lord Phlexor?

We wound up actually getting smoke from the fires in California, some time ago.

Not anymore, but yeah, we had smoke, nasty smelling stuff imo. The worst smell was the smell after they put it out. But on the main fire day, you could hardly see anything with so much smoke in the air, it was like a dirty orange tinge everywhere, plus it was really dark.

No, I am about 3 hours away by air travel.  We wouldn't get any problems from one that far away.
